As a renowned international tax expert for over 30 years, John Hayes has advised major global corporations and high net worth individuals in developing tax strategies to align with the increasing complexities of a global tax system.
He has led many high-level negotiations in cross-border tax disputes, often involving competent authorities, in agreeing multilateral settlements for major corporations. John has also advised on the effects of anti-tax avoidance measures from the OECD BEPS initiative, and assisted clients in managing increased scrutiny of global tax authorities. Previously, he was the partner in charge of PwC UK’s Inbound International Tax structuring practice in London and the lead European tax partner for several major US MNCs.
